Enjoy a relaxing evening at the world famous Shaw Festival, where plays written by George Bernard Shaw, the Irish playwright, and his contemporaries like Oscar Wilde, are shown daily. There are two theatres associated with the world famous Shaw Festival - The Royal George Theatre and the Court House Theatre. The Festival Theatre is located along Wellington Street with about 800 performances a year.
Roller blade on the Niagara Parkway all the way to Niagara Falls. The
Niagara Parkway has one of the nicest bicycle paths. This path starts
in Niagara on the Lake and takes you past the Falls along the Niagara
River to Fort Erie. Horse-back riding, jetboating, helicopter rides and
walking trails are all available for the sports enthusiasts. There are numerous bicycle
trails. Ask us for bicycle route maps to the wineries, or just for the
Niagara Region. During the season, pick your own apples, peaches, strawberries,
pears and cherries from the Niagara Region farms.
Wine lovers can go wine tasting and tour
the 60+ wineries in the region. For special winery events,

Niagara-on-the-Lake's Queen Street has unusual boutique shops for those who love shopping. The town is located very close to two Outlet Malls. One in Niagara Falls, Canada on the famous Lundy's Lane and one in Niagara Falls, N.Y. just off I190. There are many antique shops in the Niagara Region for you to browse through.
Niagara-on-the-Lake is located 15-20 minute drive to Niagara Falls and only 50 minutes, (approximately 38 miles) from Buffalo airport. Less than two hours to Rochester, N.Y. and a 20-minute drive to the Lewiston Bridge, N.Y.
World-class Birdwatching. Best place in North America to watch gulls. Come see our internationally known birdwatching areas. The Niagara River Corridor has magnificent possibilities for gull and water fowl viewing, especially in the winter months. It is possible to see 12 to 13 gull species.
